About Signal and Wise
Most feeds are built to keep you scrolling. Signal and Wise is built to do the opposite: pick one thing you actually want to understand, and let it come to you — once a day, in a single message worth reading.
Why this exists
Attention is the scarcest thing most people have. The dominant answer to that scarcity has been to fight harder for it — more notifications, more feed, more autoplay. We think the better answer is to ask for less of it, on purpose, and make what little you give back worth it.
A topic isn't a search query. It's a standing intention — "I want to understand negotiation better," "I want a daily dose of stoic philosophy," "I want to actually learn this language" — and each day's message is a small, deliberate step toward that, not a random sample from an algorithm optimizing for your next click.
What "signal" means to us
Signal, as opposed to noise. A message earns its place in your inbox by being specific, well-formed, and — when it makes a factual claim — checked. When our fact-checking finds a message actually has something wrong in it (not just something it can't verify), we don't send it with a disclaimer bolted on. We scrap it and try again. If we can't produce something we'd stand behind, we tell you that plainly instead of guessing.
Who this is for
People who'd rather go deep on a handful of things they chose than skim everything an algorithm chose for them. People who want daily momentum on a subject without carving out study time for it. People who are a little tired of apps competing for their attention and would prefer one that asks for less of it.
What "wise" means to us
Not authoritative — accumulated. A single message rarely changes how you think. A well-chosen one, delivered every day for a month, quietly does. That compounding is the actual product: not any one message, but the shape of understanding that builds when the right idea shows up, uninterrupted, at the same time every day.
